Speaking Engagements

Conferences

Conferences offer a unique opportunity to network and discuss new ideas with new people. I am often on the lookout for new platforms to propel both theoretical and practical ideas forward with a wider audience.

Community Events

As part of various community-building initiatives, I invest time in connecting with local agencies, associations, non-profits and charities to host, organize, and speak at events that will encourage collective future-making and drive community power.

Workshops

I offer human-centered design workshops for my clients and educational hands-on training workshops on applying futures thinking to UX research.

Past Events

Research By The Sea

The team behind UX London hosted a one-day conference in Brighton for design and research practitioners. I presented a 3-hour immersive workshop Futures Anthropology as a Method” offering an alternative way to approach UX research from a futures-oriented lens.

Research by the Sea provided an escape from routine – a day by the seaside that set our sights on a bright horizon for UX, research and beyond.

Why the World Needs Anthropologists in Vancouver

In partnership with InWithForward, we held a local community event as part of the WWNA’s annual symposium, themed “Centering the Periphery“. We explored how ethnographic sensibilities contribute to both making, and making sense of, today’s world.

We discussed how anthropological practices and practicing anthropologists might be relevant to the contemporary world and its most pressing issues.
